Dept. of Conventions and Conference Planning Launches AntiochianEvents.org

The Department of Convention and Conference Planning announces the launching of a new website dedicated to assisting parishes in planning and executing Parish Life Conferences and Archdiocese Conventions:  Antiochian Events (www.antiochianevents.org).  The Antiochian Archdiocese funded this project, and NAC Fellowship of St. John the Divine will cover its annual operating expenses.

The new website includes a comprehensive system for online registration and payment functions.  Conference and convention participants will be able to register for events, to submit Souvenir Journal sponsorships, to upload journal messages and art work, to register for vendor or display booths, to make general donations, and to make individual or corporate sponsorship donations.

The Antiochian Events system allow credit cards to be processed directly through the system, in corporation with Bluefin Payment Systems, and will allow Host Parishes to print registration badges and statements.  The Antiochian Events system also includes a financial management tool to assist Host Parishes in tracking conference and convention income and expenses and to provide detailed final reports in a timely fashion.

A grant from the Conference Planning Committee of the Diocese of Los Angeles has underwritten a conference/Convention comparison and budgeting module in the new system to assist parishes in creating a conference or convention budget based on historical data and the number of estimated attendees.

The Department, recommends that all Conferences/Conventions, utilize this resource that will assist our Host Parishes operate more effectively and efficiently at no cost other than credit card fees.  For more information email us at info@antiochianevents.org.
